Sudden malfunction affecting WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram

A sudden malfunction affected the Mita company’s services and applications, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, as many users around the world lost access to them, in whole or in part.

The Mita company, which owns these services, confirmed the existence of the malfunction in the aforementioned services and applications, due to a problem in its Ads Manager advertising management platform, according to the company in a statement published by Reuters., which specializes in discovering outages of online services, monitored the complaints of thousands of users around the world, on Friday evening, of their inability to access Mita’s social networks.

It is noteworthy that the advertising management platform is the platform that Meta allocates to companies in order to purchase and create ads, and manage advertising campaigns across its various platforms.

Mita told Reuters that it is aware of the issue and is working hard to resolve it, without specifying a timeframe. “Our engineering teams are aware of the issue and are actively looking to resolve it as quickly as possible,” the company said.

According to the complaints currently spreading, some users have completely lost contact with the various Meta services, and others have been partially affected, as they have had options such as sending pictures or voice messages in WhatsApp, while another sector of users reported that they were not affected by the crash.
